Anyone involved in any of the myriad aspects of running marinas should note down the dates of May 27-28, 2019 – because that's when the Marinas19 International Conference and Trade Exhibition will take place on Queensland's Gold Coast.
The conference will follow on from next year's Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference and the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
According to the Chairman of the Marina Industries Association, Andrew Chapman, the timing of the event will cement what is a very busy and productive period for the Australian boating industry.
"Having the event on the back of ASMEX and SCIBS also means there will be a nine-day national and international focus on the marine industry," he said.
"This will generate significant synergies for industry stakeholders and, from a marketing prospective, it provide an Asia/Pacific-wide focus on the marine industry and the Gold Coast."
While the previous three events have had a broader focus thanks to a partnership with the Boating Industries Association, next year's event will see the program revert to a marina-focused schedule.
Marinas19 will be held at the Sea World Resort Conference Centre; the Marina Industries Association will release more details of the event in coming months.
