CruiseCraft's popular Explorer range of cuddy cabins boats has been bolstered with the launch of the completely new 595.
The new model builds on the successful hull geometry pioneered by earlier tried-and-tested CruiseCrafts Explorers, which now span seven models from the 485 to the 685.
Aimed squarely at the hardcore fishing market, the new Explorer 595 is conveniently positioned in the middle of the established Explorer line up.
CruiseCraft says that the Explorer 595 is a boat that has been built for the hardcore recreational fishermen who head way offshore to the deep blue waters where game fish run.
"The Nichols family is absolutely committed to the Australian boating market," said Peter Benston of CruiseCraft boats.
"They continue to invest in tooling and development to maintain a highly contemporary and relevant product range for Australian boating families. Over the past year or so they have released the all-new Outsider 595 model, plus the Outsider 685 Hardtop."
In creating the Explorer 595, CruiseCraft adopted the new design found in its 530 and 595 series. The new-generation hull features a finer entry along the stem creating a deeper and more heavily flared bow. Offshore boaters will appreciate the soft and dry ride.
The Explorer 595 has a host of new features.
A sleek deck profile has been created and tooled that incorporates a recessed toe rail for safe access to the bow.
Inside the cockpit, there is a full-length fibreglass floor liner that extends up the sides to just under the gunwale.
New bucket seats with revised upholstery are included, along with a modular dash panel that accommodates large-scale electronics. The boat has a rear underfloor storage tank, too.
Technically the CruiseCraft Explorer 595 boasts a true hull length of 5.95m or 6.35m overall if the bowsprit is included. The beam of 2.44m is just 1cm narrower than the bigger 625 series and therefore adds considerable stability, as do wide chines.
Meanwhile, the 20-degree deadrise at the transom is said to deliver a classic smooth CruiseCraft ride, even in a short and nasty chop.
Under the cockpit floor, the CruiseCraft designers have moved the fuel tank further forward to provide a better balanced hull. This allows for the new large storage bin or kill tank to be positioned aft.
CruiseCraft has designed the Cruise Craft Explorer 595 to carry either a two- or four-stroke outboard with a recommended horsepower rating of 150 although the boat is rated to carry up to 175hp on the transom.
Like other models in the CruiseCraft range, the CruiseCraft Explorer 595 has a long inventory of standard equipment. This includes hydraulic steering, stainless steel seat frames, clip-out carpet, rear cockpit padded coaming and walk-through transom door.
For those boaters who want to personalise their craft, CruiseCraft offers an extensive options' list.
CruiseCraft is a wholly family owned, third-generation Australian boat builder, operating from their Brisbane manufacturing facility. CruiseCraft boats are distributed exclusively through a network of Authorised Dealers throughout Australia and selected international markets.
