Competition taken to Trask
The two-boat Trask Development Corporation/Sea Quest team dominated the second round of the Australian F1 Superboat series, staged recently at Toukley, NSWWhile lead driver and team owner Bob Trask battled throughout the weekend with fuel delivery problems, younger brother David Trask won two of the three heats, finishing second in the third.
Bob qualified in 10th position for the first heat while David was the pole sitter. Bob quickly moved through the pack to come home in fifth place after 15 laps, and David took the chequered flag with a start-to-finish run at the top of the field.
In the second heat, David took the chequered flag while Bob finished midfield, his boat experiencing fuel flow problems.
