Compact Seakeeper 3 stabiliser launches in Australia
A gyro stabiliser for 10-13m sportfishers and sportscruisers will launch at Sanctuary Cove boat showTwin Disc will host the Australian launch of the Seakeeper 3, a gyro specially designed to eliminate roll on 10m-13m (30ft to 39ft) boats, at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) from May 25-28.
Dubbed "the biggest small thing yet," the gyroscopic stabiliser claims to eliminate boat roll by up to 97 per cent.
The unique leaning post design means the Seakeeper 3 can be installed in as little as 48 hours, creating appeal with those operating deep-vee sportfishers and high-volume sportscruisers with fishers and families.
Designed for use underway or at anchor (zero speed), the Seakeeper Gyro has won an international legion of fans impressed with the difference the device can make to on-board comfort via much-improved stability.
Twin Disc will also have its joystick with position hold feature and the Seatorque Boss oil-filled shaft system on display.
Frank Bamford, a boatie who recently specified the Twin Disc transmission and control system, along with a Seakeeper Gyro Stabiliser for his new Maritimo M70 Flybridge Braveheart, is a convert of the new technology.
