Quicksilver has come to the rescue of conscientious boat owners with a new range of cleaning products specifically-formulated to conserve our most precious resource – water.
Paul McLean accessories manager for Mercury Marine Asia-Pacific said the newly developed range is an excellent way to beat the ever tightening water restrictions.
Cleaning without fresh water is now possible due to the latest developments in chemical technology. This has produced two new Quicksilver products - Wash'N'Wax and Quickshine.
Wash'N'Wax is totally effective in salt water. Its unique formula allows it to fully dissolve and foam in salty or brackish water making it ideal when there are severe water restrictions or when your boat has been hit by the dreaded seagulls. Quickshine allows you to achieve an easy clean and deep shine without the use of fresh water. The exclusive formula is sprayed on to remove dirt and leave a streak-free shine.
"With so many boats in Australia we have obviously been using huge amounts of water to clean them," said McLean.
"The vast majority of boat owners are conscious of the environment - after all they are out there enjoying it - so they'll appreciate that this is a big step in the right direction," said McLean.
Quicksilver cleaning products are fully biodegradable, environmentally safe and have been specifically formulated for marine use. Products made for the motor industry are less effective on marine gelcoat because of its more porous surface which requires larger co-polymer chemistry.
