Iconic American-boat builder Chris-Craft has unveiled renderings of an all-new Launch 36 set to premier at the 2013 Miami International Boat Show in February.
The Launch 36 will be the newest and largest addition to the Launch line-up for Chris-Craft. In effect, it will be the flagship of the range and on equal footing as the Corsair 36.
The Launch 36 is primarily a large dayboat, says Chris-Craft, but with overnight facilities. The boat is designed for having fun on the water, with a range of toys and water sports for family and friends. The new model has full walkaround decks like a fishboat, intended to access the forward seating and a full-sized bow sunbed.
As you make your way back to the cockpit, a full open-air galley, large U-shaped seat and large retractable table, that easily converts to a second aft sunbed, are ready to please.
Below deck, there are berths for five people including an island double forward, and a WC and shower, explains Chris-Craft.
The new model is equipped with built-in storage for a variety of sports pursuits including snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing, bicycling, wakeboarding, and tubing.
"This is the boat I have always wanted to build for my family. People have lost sight of what it means to play on the water and this boat is really a toy boat for all," commented Stephen Julius, Chairman of Chris-Craft Corporation.
Chris-Craft has been producing elegant and sophisticated sportboats since 1874. A privately held company, Chris-Craft is headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, where its 2013 Collection includes The Bullet, Launch, Lancer, Corsair, the center console series Catalina, and the new vertical bow Carina. The boats range in length from 20 to 36 feet in length. More at www.chriscraft.com and local importer www.premiermarine.com.au.
