Chris Craft has long been a big player in the luxury dayboat market with boats that team classic styling with modern performance and handling. The new 2013 Corsair 32, slated to arrive in Sydney this month, is a perfect example of the iconic American brand.
The entire Corsair line-up carries the main DNA of the legendary boatbuilder. The sister ship to the new Launch 32, which made its debut at the 2012 Miami International Boat Show, the new Corsair 32 is a slick conveyance well-suited to accommodating overnight excursions following a sunset champagne cruise.
Corsair 32 owners can choose from a multitude of exterior options including custom paint colours such as the new Cashmere Metallic.
"We are very excited about our new custom colour offerings for 2013, which include the ability to please the discerning Chris Craft customer by building the boat to their exact whim and desire," said Steve Hannes, the Dealer Principal at importers Premier Marine.
The Corsair 32 is also available in three Heritage Edition Teak options with a choice of natural or varnished teak finishes as well as black or the new blonde, teak caulking. But the choices and luxury appointments don’t end there.
A skylight runs the entire length of the forward deck and is flanked by teak to allow for maximum natural light into the forward saloon. The luxury cabin comes with a choice of cherry or walnut cabinetry to complement the interior upholstery and seating, which is available in three colour combinations.
The galley package adds a stove and microwave to the already well-appointed saloon featuring a standard refrigerator. The cabin sleeps two and also comes with a standard 22-inch flat-screen TV. The full head with shower, solid surface countertops and classic Chris-Craft teak appointments add to the experience.
Back up top, the classic Chris-Craft tumblehome design in the stern marries the aft styling to a large teak swim platform complete with hot and cold transom shower and easily accessible stowaway swim ladder, with convenient retractable grab rail for your ease of entry from the sea.
Together, the boat is the very epitome of where the luxury day-cruising and overnighting market is headed in Sydney these days, says Premier Marine, adding that it will have a big spread of Chris Craft boats at this year’s Sydney International Boat Show. The starting price for the 32 Corsair is $320,000.
