Chris-Craft will be announcing a new dual console range to its line-up at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) opening November 5. The new Calypso 26 will be the first dual console the established American boatbuilder in the business since 1874.
The Calypso 26 has been designed for the family who enjoys watersports activities, casual fishing, or cruising. The boat is equipped with an enclosed head along with a wind door for extra coverage leading to the bow.
One of the boat’s defining features is the ample and flexible foldup seating in the cockpit. This gives owners the ability to tailor the boat to their specific, with maximum seating or minimum clutter depending on commuting or fishing needs.
The Calypso 26 comes in single and twin rigs with a minimum single 350hp Mercury Verado four-stroke outboard or 350hp V8 Yamaha outboard or twin 150-200hp combos.
The hull and most of the specifications for the new Calypso 26 are in common with the Chris-Craft 26 centre console, however, the dual console adds to the utility of the boat and creates a more pleasant cruising platform.
The boat has retractable seating and a drop-in lunch table in the cockpit, overhead pull-out shade top, plush bow seating and sunpad... and then it all tucks away to create a big, stylish and upmarket watersports 'bowrider'.
