Chaparral has released little sister to their award-winning 327SSx maxi bowrider, a boat touted as the biggest bowrider in the world.
Available in twin or single engine configuration, the new 307SSx is said to pack hot performance with stunning hole shots, sweet handling and top speeds more akin to its nimble SSi stablemates.
Scott O’Hare from Chaparral Australia, who was one of the first people in the world to drive the new boat, was of course glowing.
“The first thing that struck me was the crisp, clean lines of the boat. The interior was very modern with no wasted space with a simple, practical layout. The trim was gorgeous; it oozed style and class and felt very rich," gushed the local Chaparral importer.
“The best bit though was the performance. This boat was quick, quiet and soft in the choppy conditions, with minimal bow rise, accurate handling and very dry [ride]. I loved it and I reckon it will be a winner in Australia," O'Hare said in his press release.
The new boat does not include accommodation and is not yet available with a hardtop like its big brother 327SSX. At least, not just yet.
“With the current US trend of building bigger and bigger bowriders, Chaparral has stepped back taken a look at the market and found a niche where buyers can have a high performance twin-engine boat with big passenger capacity, head, wet bar and adjustable cockpit layout for reasonable dollars," O'Hare says, adding that "the 307 is a bit easier to store and handle when compared to the bigger boats."
