NT Government creates Top End fishing competition with 75 tagged $10K barra and one $1M fish!Australia’s biggest fishing competition is here. Seventy six tagged barramundi have been released in the Northern Territory, with 75 worth $10,000, and one tagged barra worth a million dollars. The fish have been let loose in the Top End!

Entry into the competition is free is available via the milliondollarfish.com.au website between July 12,2015 and February 29, 2016 inclusive.
Entry into the competition is open to any person who meets the requirements of the terms and conditions listed on milliondollarfish.com.au. Entrants must be aged 18 years of older to be eligible to participate.
The Competition will commence from midnight on October 1, 2015 and conclude at 11:59pm on February 29, 2015.
The 76 prize barramundi will have been tagged and released at multiple locations across the Top End of the Northern Territory, as far north as Willigi, as far east as Nhulunbuy, as far south as Borroloola and as far west as Dundee Beach and Bathurst Island. It’s up to you to stay, play and fish to find them.
Here is a simple guide to verifying your catch and claiming your prize:
Each fish in the competition is fitted with a red tag.
Step 1: Lay your fish on or alongside a ruler/fish measure/tape measure.
Step 2: Take a photograph of your fish with the ruler/measure visible to record the length of the fish. Make sure the fish tag is visible.
Step 3: Take a photograph of the front of your fish. Make sure the fish tag is visible.
Step 4: Email your photos to MDrecapture@info-fish.net and call 1800 077 001 to advise your name and telephone number and quote your fish tag ID.
Step 5: When your fish is verified you may remove the fish tag and release or keep your fish. Tourism NT and CrownBet will also call you ASAP once you have emailed your fish photos.
