Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show

French boating festival with 150 new launches
Where else but the Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show for a pop-up restaurant on the water devoted to serving, well, caviar?
A shrine to luxury, this year’s 35th Cannes boat show aka the Festival de la Plaisance from September 11-16 will continue to cement its position as one of the most important launch platforms on the global boating calendar.
Last year, 173 new models were launched at Cannes. The 2012 event promises to continue the trend with 445 new boats on show ranging from 10 metres in length to the 61-metre Benetti, Diamonds are Forever, owned by high-profile yachtsman John Staluppi.
New model launches or debuts include the Azimut 55S, Wally Ace, Pershing 82, Sunseeker Portofino 40, Princess 40 Metre flagship and new 56, Fairline Squadron 60 and more.
Watch this space for more news from the big global boat builders at Cannes. Meantime, the video below offers a taste of the high life on the not-so-high seas sans caviar.
