Caltex brings Vortex 98 petrol to the Pilbara
Northern WA boaters get the good oil and high octanePilbara motorists and boat owners now have access to Caltex Australia’s highest-octane premium petrol, with the leading fuel supplier last week introducing Vortex 98 Premium Unleaded to Caltex sites in South Hedland and Karratha.
Caltex Star Mart South Hedland (Hamilton Rd, South Hedland) and Caltex Star Mart Karratha (Cnr Bathgate St and Tambrey Rd, Karratha) are the first service stations anywhere in the Pilbara to offer a 98-octane petrol product.
Caltex Acting General Manager Marketing & Distribution Leo Pucar said the move was in response to demand from premium petrol customers in the Pilbara for the “super premium” product for on the road and on the water.
“As Australia’s transport fuel leader, Caltex is committed to meeting the Pilbara’s diverse fuel needs – this was clearly demonstrated by the opening of our new 40 million litre Port Hedland diesel distribution terminal in 2012,” Mr Pucar said.
“Pilbara customers have been benefiting from access to Caltex’s Vortex 95 Premium Unleaded product for many years, but we have recognised a growing demand for the availability of a super-premium unleaded product.
“Vortex 98 Premium Unleaded is designed to deliver improved engine performance and efficiency, particularly for those engines that require high compression ratios or are turbo-charged.”
The high octane rating of Vortex 98 Premium Unleaded helps achieve maximum engine responsiveness, power and efficiency for all modern and high performance vehicles.
The product contains a multi-functional fuel additive that helps remove deposits from critical parts of the engine, resulting in improved efficiency and performance, and is also formulated with anti-rust and corrosion prevention additives.
“It is a very attractive option for boat operators looking to use a high performance 98-octane petrol product,” Mr Pucar said.
