The National Maritime Museum is calling on Sydney boat-owners to showcase their classic vessels at this year’s Classic & Wooden Boat Festival to be held on the weekend of October 13-14.
The colourful festival at Sydney's Darling Harbour will attract hundreds of families and boating enthusiasts keen to get up close and personal with some of Sydney’s stunning heritage vessels.
And by signing up, boat owners will also have the opportunity to network with other classic boat owners including representatives of the NSW Wooden Boat Association and the Halvorsen Club who will each have their own displays.
Over the weekend, visitors will see a range of vessels, from graceful yachts and streamlined speedboats to tugs and workboats.
Plus there’ll be plenty of entertainment for the whole family including live music, demonstrations, fascinating stalls and arts and crafts especially for kids.
Vessel registrations must close on August 31. Registration fees range from $100 (ashore) to $100-$200 afloat (depending on vessel size). Register now to avoid disappointment.
