Cabo comes up trumps

The new Cabo 48 has just completed its first season on the Great Barrier Reef – home of the giant black marlin.

Capt Greg 'Muddy' Edwards has more than 20 years experience on gameboats and was given the job of running Cabochon during the 2005 season on the Great Barrier Reef.

"The Cabo 48 is the best production boat I have ever driven. The boat fished really well, even in rough conditions and at all times we felt comfortable and safe. The hull also runs very dry -- we were regularly punching into 25 knots of wind off the forequarter at cruise and didn't even get a drop of water on the clears. I was also impressed with the economy of the C18 Cats -- at 27 knots we were burning just 180lt per hour.," he said.

While the boat has been designed for those who are passionate about gamefishing, this isn't at the cost of interior fitout or family comfort. With three staterooms and two heads, there is ample room for two couples as well as kids or crew.
