Buyout at Mustang Cruisers

NBC Capital and senior managers at powerboat manufacturer Mustang Cruisers have agreed to terms to buy the company from its founder, Gary Garoni. Settlement of the $65 million deal is expected by December.

NBC Capital's presence increases the Mustang Cruiser's capability to fund further growth. With almost 12 months of orders in place, the new management team intends to invest in new staff and facilities over time to meet the demand for Mustang's sportscruiser range.

Gary Garoni said having management take over the business was a natural evolution in the company's growth: "I want to see Mustang become an international powerhouse in the marine industry, and this is the best way to achieve that goal.

"I'll continue to help Mustang with strategic development, but the operations of the company will be left entirely to our tremendous management team," he said.
