BRP has reinforced its commitment to helping save lives on Australian beaches by extending its partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia until 2018.
Now in the sixth year of their partnership with the volunteer service, BRP has already delivered almost $1.5 million worth of essential lifesaving equipment to clubs around Australia.
"Surf Life Saving Australia is a not-for-profit entity that exists only through community donations, government funding, fundraising and corporate sponsorships from companies such as BRP," said Melissa King, General Manager, Communications and Business Development at Surf Life Saving Australia. "BRP products are powerful lifesaving tools. They enable surf lifesavers and lifeguards to move around the beach and water quickly. This means patrols and rescues can be performed with greater efficiency and faster response times to save lives on the coast."
Grégoire Dupont, vice-president and regional general manager for BRP in the Asia Pacific region said: "As the largest volunteer movement of its kind in Australia, Surf Life Saving Australia is an excellent organisation for BRP to support. This latest partnership again reinforces BRP’s commitment to support the community and we are proud to continue to work with Surf Life Saving to make Australian beaches even safer.”
BRP says its products are currently being used in over 250 clubs around Australia including the Can-Am Commander side-by-side, the range of Sea-Doo personal watercraft and Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines.
