
In 2012, the Brisbane Boat Show celebrates its 52nd anniversary -- a significant achievement cementing its place as one of the premier events on Queensland's calendar.
Since 1961, the Brisbane Boat Show has been showcasing and promoting the benefits of a marine-based lifestyle to the people of Queensland.
Returning to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Brisbane Boat Show is the perfect place to search for, compare and choose your new boat, personal watercraft or boat motor.
This year’s show will offer plenty to see with the launch of several new models. The show will run from Thursday August 23 until Sunday August 26.
New product launches from the likes of Boston Whaler (three models from 17ft to 28ft), Mastercraft (X-30 and X-Star), Malibu (Wakesetter X22 MXZ and TXI), Cruise Craft (all-new Explorer 595), Hobie (Pro Angler 12) and more will interest all types of boaters.
Fishermen will intrigued by the speakers on the Fishing and Boating Stage which will be running throughout the day from 10.30am. All manner of fishermen will speak on many different topics. You can even try your hand at fly fishing in the Yamaha Supertank.
If it’s cooking you’re into, then join Bart Beek at the Club Marine Stand for the ultimate sensory experience. Enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of successful seafood cooking.
The Show is open from 10.00am until 8.00pm on Thursday and Friday, and from 10.00am until 6.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $12 for students and concession-card holders. Kids under-15 are free. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketek or at the door.
The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre is located on the corner of Glenelg and Merivale St, South Bank.
Parking is available at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre with car park entrances located on Merivale and Melbourne Streets.
