The Boating Industry Association is encouraging people to get out on the water as part of a new industry push to get more people on boats ahead of this summer.
The Discover Boating campaign, officially launched today, is similar to an initiative rolled out in the US by the National Marine Manufacturers Association in 2020.
However, while the US campaign was tagged “Get On Board”, the Australian campaign kicks off with the slogan “Adventure awaits. See You Out There”.

“With the peak boating season approaching, the three-month campaign is set to inspire and welcome new participants into the world of boating, showcasing the diverse array of activities accessible across budget ranges,” the BIA said in a statement announcing the initiative.
BIA chief executive Andrew Scott said promoting the boating lifestyle and participation was part of the BIA’s strategic business plan and a key priority for the group.
“Boating has long been cherished by Australians as a standout leisure activity, offering a great variety of experiences for individuals, families, and friends alike, from fishing and water sports to cruising and sailing,” Scott said.
“The See You Out There campaign is a testament to the BIA's commitment to promoting the boating experience and driving increased participation.”
