Black Marlin from 9ft Inflatable!

Extreme rubber-ducky fishing

Many of us were watching mouth agape at footage that hit the mainstream press of a marlin caught from a kayak. Now Paul Worsteling, host of iFish, has battled a solid black marlin from a 9ft inflatable.

The Watersnake inflatable in camouflage livery, with a small electric outboard on the transom, contrasts with the bright blue ocean water off Jervis Bay where the marlin was fought.

We’re not sure if Paul hooked the fish on a bigger boat and then transferred to the tub – I guess we’ll have to wait for the episode to air later this year – but full marks to him (and the camera crew) for nailing some great footage.

A range of tough inflatable’s from roll-up 2.35m models to rigid 6.5m centre console RIBS with hypalon tubes is available through long-standing Australian company Jarvis Walker.
