With up to 120 boats on the marinas, a display area rivalling both Sydney and Melbourne, a beach for kayak and canoe demonstrations and four government departments on site, this year's Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show promises to defy the economic downturn.
The newly completed Marine Operations Centre building will be fully incorporated into the show and will give boaties unrivalled access to the information and advice from the WA Department of Fisheries, the Department of Water, the Department of Transport (Marine Safety) and the WA Water Police.
The re-designed marina will exit directly outside the large marquee which will house the accessories display and visitors will notice the walkways are wider.
With three months still to go to the opening of the show on October 9, show director Peter Woods told the Boatsales Network 85 per cent of the available space was already booked.
He says the marina will have between 110 and 120 boats on display, slightly down from last year, but with the promise of many new models.
The popular Engel Aquatank fishing show will be back with non-stop lectures and displays by well known fishing presenters including Malcolm Douglas and David Hodge.
The Club Marine Cooking Stage will get a facelift with the introduction of a giant daylight LED screen (like those at a footy ground) so visitors can get a close up of all the cooking demonstrations.
The Mandurah boat show runs between the 9th and 11th of October, and for more details see the Mandurah boat show website.
