Big prizes for happy snaps
Melbourne's Sailing World CupEvery boat owner has a favourite photograph of them and their pride and joy, whether it is a runabout tinny or a giant gin palace.
To help celebrate the Sailing World Cup in Melbourne next month, the organisers have announced details of a simple contest that offers a grand prize that includes a boat ride out to see the action, lunch with Glenn Ashby and even a trip to the theatre.
All you have to do is log into www.sailmelbourne.com.au and submit a photograph of you and your boat and 100 words or less on the story behind the picture.
The winner will recieve two return airfares to Melbourne from anywhere in Australia, airport transfers and two nights accommodation in the middle of the city. They will also get dinner for two at the Press Club restaurant followed by tickets to see Mary Poppins at Her Majesty's Theatre on Friday, December 17.
On Saturday, you get two tickets to the ISAF Sailing World Cup finals, lunch at Sandringham Yacht Club's Harbour View restaurant with Glenn Ashby, a boat ride out to see the finals action and an invitation to the very flash Sailing World Cup Melbourne after party.
On Sunday you get a tour of Melbourne’s trendy lanes and arcades before lunch and the flight home.
Second prize, that will be a people's award, is a $500 Helly Hanson gift voucher.
