Rocketing to national success last year, Big Fish, Small Boats is back in full swing on channel ONE.
Dubbed "the most exciting fishing show in years" by some fans, Big Fish, Small Boats is presented by Team Honda Marine Pro Angler Al McGlashan, who is once again on a mission to catch some of the biggest and wildest fish in the country.
Battling massive seas and seemingly endless oceans, Al and his crew manage to hook big yellowfin tuna off Sydney, encounter more sharks around The Abrolhos, and catch pretty much everything from Murray cod to sailfish from our waterways.
Capturing the true passion of Australian angling through some amazing footage, Big Fish, Small Boats also has a serious side -- working with marine researchers and fisheries scientists to help manage the immensely valuable natural resource that is our ocean.
Throughout this 13-episode series, the Big Fish, Small Boats crew places satellite tags in a record number of Southern bluefin tuna to study their behaviour and assist in ongoing monitoring of this popular recreational target species. It's another example of the role many recreational anglers play in looking after the environment.
Big Fish, Small Boats airs on ONE at 5.30pm every Saturday until December 7, 2013. Refer to your local television guides for more information or visit: bfsb.com.au. McGlashan is sponsored by Honda.
