Bermagui's Yanmar Blue Water classic

The BBGAC said the tournament promises to be bigger and better than previous years, with early inquiries coming from interstate, and clubs within NSW also showing interest.

Some changes are being made for 2008, whereby the 'Ladies and Juniors' day has been scrapped and an instructional afternoon instead being presented by Bermagui's leading skippers and deck hands, said tournament organisers.

The BBGAC said it is pleased to have Yanmar as the naming rights sponsor, and among other major sponsors are Penn (JarvisWalker), who claim Bermagui as a 'Penn port' and rightfully so, said tournament organisers, as one sees so many Penn products gracing rod racks as they leave to do battle with fish that require only the best to bring them boatside.

J.V. Marine is back on board this year, said BBGAC, marking some 20 years support of the club; and not new on the scene but certainly a change of company name, is Navico, flying the flag for the Lowrance, Simrad and Navman brand of products.

On the local front, and showing great support as a major sponsor over years, are Scott and Lisa Bradley from Bridge Motors, the best place in Bermagui for not only fuel needs, but excellent service and great attitudes, said the BBGAC.

The Yanmar Blue Water Classic has prizes and trophies to the value of $40,000, and the comfort of the Bermagui Country Club for all onshore activities.
