Beneteau's new Gran Turismo
Revamped range for 2013Beneteau has worked to improve the outdoor comfort and useability of the Gran Turismo range for 2013.
With input from Australia and South Africa, the company has included an optional electric barbecue on the port side of the swim platform across the range. According to Beneteau sources, the factory listened when Australians called for more outdoor entertainment and specifically a barbie!
For the northern climes, the addition of optional air-conditioning on the Gran Turismo 44 should make relaxing at anchor even more pleasant.
On all the models, you can now put an exterior curtain on the windscreen to keep the interior cooler.
Beneteau says that to make lazing in the sun more pleasant, the sunbed up front has been improved. The back now lifts so that you can lean back against it and feel as comfortable as you would on a sun lounge.
The Gran Turismo 34 and 38 now have two options for the swim platform. The company has increased the size of the original version to make access easier, and there’s a yet larger size upon which owners could store a tender.
Inside, the Gran Turismo 44 and 49 have been given a complete makeover.
On the 44, the interior is now available in Alpi Walnut woodwork, similar to the 49.
On these two models, top-of-the-range coatings and ceilings from Majilite are used. And in the wheelhouse, the galley and bathrooms, a cream-coloured lacquered finish is offered as an alternative to lacquered white.
Throughout the range, the choice of indoor and outdoor upholstery has been re-examined to follow current trends, we’re told.
There are also new hull colours for the new season. The favourable exchange rate and soft Euro are adding to the GTs' price-point appeal.
