Beneteau is upgrading and expanding its popular Trawler range, with the new baby Swift Trawler 30 shown at the 2016 Sydney International Boat Show and now there's a new-look flagship Swift Trawler 50.
Launched in 2012, the Swift Trawler 50 has gained a more contemporary profile and streamlined flybridge from the pen of designer Pierre Frutschi.
It's a small thing, but a new stripe above the waterline emphasises the hull’s shape. Together, the new lines are said to give the 50 an elegant profile while maintaining a high level of safety and seaworthiness.
On-board, the new Swift Trawler 50 has become more spacious and airy, Beneteau says. The wall cabinets in the galley, which so often hang low and act like a veil that hinders 'sociability', have been lifted to provide a seamless saloon. This has the effect of doubling living space and the views out the windows have been optimised, too.
Meantime, gloss furniture is said to fill the indoors with light, while the contrast between mahogany and white lacquering creates a fresh interior.
It all sounds very nice, but the proof is in the fact that the 1000th Swift Trawler line will leave the factory in June 2017. It will be a Swift Trawler 50 special edition and cause for Beneteau to celebrate the success of great range.
