Behold 'The Balcony'

Italian-made accessory for 35m+ motoryachts

Italian boat-accessory manufacture Besenzoni calls it simply The Balcony, but it took onlookers' imaginations to far greater heights when demonstrated at the Genoa Boat Show aboard a Sunseeker Predator 130.

Designed for yachts of over 35m, The Balcony is made of two elements, window and balcony, which can be moved independently and operated by the ship owner via a touchscreen in the cabin.

With a press of the finger, The Balcony lowers and becomes equipped with stainless steel stanchions, which automatically exit from their hidden box to secure the landing. The shipowner can then enjoy a spectacular sea view from an absolutely exclusive position.

When it is closed, The Balcony is said to meld with the ship's side and coordinate to blend with the decor of the cabin. Importantly, The Balcony is watertight and protected by a totally secure hydraulic system.
