With the growing popularity of social boating, wakeboarding and watersports, American boat-building giant Bayliner has reintroduced its Flight package on its 2012-model 175 and 185 bowriders.
The optional Flight packages features a new aluminium tow tower with go-fast, swept-forward lines that complement the curves of the boats. An integrated bimini is included to provide shade from the harsh Australian sun.
An extended swim platform is standard with the Flight package, adding 60cm to the overall length of the boat. It’s bolted lower to the water than the existing moulded 30cm platform, making it ideal for putting on boards or skis before hitting the water.
An inspection port permits visual checks of the sterndrive unit, while a recessed three-step boarding ladder on the starboard side is said to be well placed to allow driver visibility of skiers and boarders while they climb back aboard.
Last but not least, a unique hull graphics adds to the boat's makeover and sporty appearance.
The price premium for the Flight package on the 175 (static photo above) is $3890 and $3290 for the 185 (pictured with family).
