Bayliner promises a perfect day

Enough room for everyone

After more than 50 years in the marine business, it’s hardly surprising that Bayliner knows more than a thing or two about boats. So its new 235 Bowrider ticks all the right boxes for a terrific day on the water.

With an overall length of 22ft 6ins (6.86m) and a beam of 8ft 6ins (2.59m), the 235 Bowrider has room for the whole family and a bunch of their friends.

The almost unbelievably spacious cockpit, one of the largest in its class, is aided by Bayliner's famous beam-forward design that puts the most space on the boat to be where people want to sit, while still allowing plenty of room to move about -- particularly with the walk-throughs to the transom and the bow.

An enormous U-shaped lounge -- with masses of storage space below -- dominates the aft cockpit. The hinged cushions lift easily and stay up thanks to hydraulic-assisted struts -- no more trying to hold up the lid with one hand while trying to wrestle something out of the storage area with the other.

Both the bucket helm seat and the port seat are fitted with flip-up bolsters to allow them to rotate 180 degrees. This means up to 10 people can gather around the standard cockpit table for a cheerful lunch in some secluded bay.

Performance is not overlooked either. Standard power is a 5.0-litre 260hp MerCruiser that provides fantastic acceleration that is aided by Bayliner's exclusive Smooth Ride System. If you want a little more grunt to handle adult skiers from deep-water starts without fuss, you can opt for the 300hp 350 Magnum MerCruiser package.

Featuring integrated stainless-steel hardwear, the quality of the 235 Bowrider is immediately obvious. There are also ample cup holders and wear and tear is minimised to the oversized sun pad by a removable walk-through cushion, so there is no need for people to climb over anything.

Matched to a galvanised and disc-braked trailer and equipped with a large bimini top for sun protection, the 235 Bowrider is easy to transport and comfortable all day on the water.
