Bavaria Yachts Australia, which imports the high-tech range of yachts from Germany, has announced two new additions to its popular fleet of yachts in its Cruising range -- a 36 footer (pictured) and a 40 footer.
Both yachts are designed to appeal to the family cruising and occasional racing market, and are the result of the continuing collaboration between Farr Yacht Design and BMW Designworks USA.
They join the well-established 32, 45 and 55 Cruiser models and, like their siblings, offer exceptional social space -- both inside and out -- for the small to medium-sized cruising market.
Features include the large cockpit, perfect for entertaining, and the lowering swim platform across the stern that gives easy access to the water. Both of these are considerations that the German yacht making yard feels are essential for its high-tech, technologically advanced cruising yachts.
The Cruiser 40 has three large double cabins, a large head and shower off the saloon and a second private head and shower in the forward cabin. The hull shape carries its beam well aft to increase interior space.
The Cruiser 36 comes with either two cabin or three cabin layouts, with the two cabin layout giving exceptional room for a yacht 36-feet long.
The three cabin version has two equal aft cabins. Both versions have a large head with separate shower stalls.
Both models feature a fast Farr hull shape, deep keels and large mainsails with non-overlapping jibs to ease the work load when sailing shorthanded.
All the hatches are flush-mounted and have integrated sun and fly screens.
The first Cruiser 40 has already been sold and the company anticipates keen demand.
The sail-away price for the Cruiser 36 starts at just $235,000, while the Cruiser 40 is $299,946. For more information visit
