Capitalising on the global boom in catamarans, the new Nautitech 47 Power from Bavaria has debuted at the recent 2018 Düsseldorf boat show.
The power cat has been designed wth "clear lines and powerful elegance". With a top speed of 22 knots, and a cruising range of 1000 miles at nearly 9 knots, it's a decent coastal boat.
Whether on or below deck, the power cat is said to have plenty of room for luxury and relaxation. Sunsets are best enjoyed on the bow on an plush sofa with table and plenty of casual deck space.
At the blunt end, the transom has multiple uses. The lifting platform between the hulls can be used as a Tenderlift or as a bathing paradise. It easily lifts a Williams Minijet 280 out of the water.
In its central position, the stern platform links the two hulls to form a flat sunbathing area right next to the water. When the platform is completely lowered into the water, the Nautitech 47 Power has its own 'beach'.
Cruising is best spent on the generous flybridge from where clear views stretch across the sea. With a bimini or a hardtop offering, you can derive some weather protection. A barbecue and a wet bar are also available on the flybridge.
Big dinners with friends, or breakfasts with the crew, are best served on the long table in the large cockpit from where direct access reaches into the saloon. As the cockpit and saloon melt into one living space, the galley is there to serve the exclusive lounge area and the al fresco setting.
Driving pleasure is provided by two Volvo Penta D4 motors each with 225hp or 300hp. The balance of power and efficiency is said to be impressive.
