Bavaria expands SR line with 2023 Bavaria SR33

The new model is the third of the reasonably new line of models that blend the best of the S flybridge models and R sedans in a new format with an emphasis on outdoor living.

However, rather than spinning the new model off the S33 hull, the new Bavaria SR33 is longer and carries more beam than the S-badged hull.

Of note, the boat’s new design includes more deck space than you’d expect in a 10.89-metre boat, a saloon space that maximises pace and utility, and comfortable accommodations for up to four people.

The Bavaria SR33’s design includes a foredeck with a large sun lounge, a cockpit with wet bar, hotplate, fridge and sink, and a large cockpit table.

The backs of the cockpit seating folds down to create a large sunbed with enough space to accommodate up to six people. To either side is access to an integrated swim deck.

Meanwhile, the saloon space gives an almost uninterrupted view all around, with the hardtop utilising slim-profile stainless steel supports to hold the hardtop in place and allow large windows to be fitted. A single-pane windscreen offers good forward vision from the helm.

Below decks the Bavaria SR33 uses large hull windows and skylights to allow natural light to flood the space.

The accommodations include four berths and a cabin, with the forward saloon and bed creating what Bavaria says is a loft-style space.

Another double bed is located amidships , along with a comfortable sofa to create a cabin that Bavaria claims creates a personal suite for the boat’s owners, complete with plenty of storage space for personal effects.

If needed the saloon table can drop down to create another sleeping space for two people.

Below decks also includes a bathroom with a separate shower and head, as well as a freestanding basin with “elegant fittings”.

Powering the new Bavaria SR33 are twin-engine choices from both Volvo Penta and Mercury MerCruiser, with performance options ranging from 500hp to 700hp, although owners prioritising fuel economy over performance can ask for a single 380hp Volvo Penta engine.

The world premiere for the Bavaria SR33 is planned for Boot Düsseldorf in January next year. The new model will join the existing Bavaria SR36 and Bavaria SR41 in the German boat maker's showroom.
