It marks the brand’s first official move into the Oceana market.

“The international expansion of TecnoRib, the official licensee of Pirelli brand inflatable boats, continues with the signing of an agreement for the official distribution of its ribs and jet tenders in Australia with Barbagallo Marine, the consolidated Australian dealer for important yacht brands,” TechnoRib said in a statement released overnight.

TechnoRib said the agreement represented “a new step forward” in its increasingly “wide-ranging, carefully defined and articulated internationalisation strategy”.
Barbagallo Marine is part of luxury car dealership Barbagallo Group, which sells brands including Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and Aston Martin.
The marine division is the Australian distributor for Sunseeker motor yachts, and this year added bespoke motor yacht brand Sanlorenzo to its product mix.

According to the statement, Barbagallo Marine will handle the distribution of the entire TecnoRib range and an outboard version of the Pirelli 1250, with a deck layout specially designed for the Australian market minus the aft sunbeds.
The new TechnoRib range will eventually be available with outboard and inboard-outboard versions.
TechnoRib has also recently teased the Pirelli 1900, the largest-ever TechnoRib model featuring 1600hp of inboard engines.
