After making its name with hardcore fishing machines that can tackle the toughest conditions, Bar Crusher has introduced the first of its new Wave Crusher series, the 500CR.
Aimed at the family market where a boat may be used for fishing one day, towing the kids the next or just for a quiet picnic, the Bar Crusher 500CR offers the same superior engineering in a range of smaller boats at attractive prices.
The 500CR (Cuddy/Runabout) measures 5.2m overall and has a beam of 2.15m. It is constructed from high tensile, marine grade plate aluminium 4mm thick on the bottom and 3mm thick on the topsides. Like its bigger brothers, the 500CR features Bar Crusher's trademarked Waveslicer hull and the Regideck sub floor system to boost hull strength.
With a small cuddy cabin to provide protection from the elements, a couple of forward bunks and helm seating mounted on storage boxes, the 500CR is ideal for overall family use. It has a toughened glass windscreen, removable bait board, welded in treadplate floor and a very strong transom design. Few boats in this price range offer such engineering and quality.
Rated to carry a 90hp outboard and with a fuel capacity of 90 litres, the boat has the speed and range to tackle almost any outdoor activity. It can be easily towed by a family sedan and it is designed to fit into the average suburban garage.
The Bar Crusher 500CR will be on display around the country during this year's boat show circuit.
