This year's event will be contributing even further to the local community as well as the sport of sailing, by supporting Sailability NSW - whose key objective is to encourage and facilitate sailing and boating throughout Australia for people with disabilities in social, recreational and competitive activities.
As with previous Balmain Regattas, the event incorporates a full day of sailing and boating fun, including classic 18-foot and 10-foot skiff races, along with dinghy, classic and modern yacht races.
In addition, crews representing Balmain's local pubs and services will be racing on a fleet of yachts supplied by Eastsail; while entertainment, and food and beverages will be provided at the club throughout the day.
Entry is open to anyone with a yacht or dinghy who would like to race in a historic event where the emphasis is on having fun. In addition to Balmain Sailing Club entries, boats representing surrounding clubs are encouraged to participate, with an inter-club challenge in the dinghy fleet.
