Riviera will continue the rollout of its new sub-40 foot family at August’s Sydney International Boat Show. Building on the momentum of the 395 SUV launched at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, the 39 Sports Motor Yacht will headline Riviera's Sydney display.
Other Riviera craft on display at Australia’s largest boat show will include the new long-range 72 Sports Motor Yacht and a number of larger SUV models.
The new Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht refreshes the brand’s offer in one of Australia’s pivotal ‘big’ boat segments. In years past, Riviera’s 36, 39, 40 and 42 foot models have attracted strong support from Australian (and overseas) boaties.
Riviera is positioning the new 39 as its born-again entry-level flybridge. It will be priced from $921,100.
Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said: "Our world-class design team and engineers have crafted a sophisticated new hull and deck design, with raised bulwarks on the side decks and multiple entertainment spaces that are emblematic of Riviera Sports Motor Yachts.
“The Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht is a brilliant example of Riviera’s evolution and constant refinement across our five collections," he stated.
Based on a sneak peek at the Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht, we can confirm the new boat provides accommodation for five adults in two staterooms.
The 39’s forward master stateroom features a queen-size walk-around double, a wardrobe, overhead lockers and shelving. There’s a bathroom immediately aft with separate shower, while the midships stateroom includes twin beds athwartships to starboard and a single bed set along the port side.
Large hull-side windows with opening portholes provide plenty of natural light to the midships cabin,
The 39’s main deck features an aft galley with dinette opposite. The standard lower helm is forward to port and a lounge opposite provides sweeping views forward. American Oak cabinetry is standard fitment.
Accessed via a starboard-side stair-ladder, the Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht’s extended flybridge features an expansion forward helm with seating for two. An aft L-shaped lounge punctuates the top deck and a folding bimini top in standard.
Power for the new Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht comes from twin Volvo Penta D6-IPS600s rated at 435hp per side. The IPS pod system provides the option of joystick control.
