Local Azimut agents 5 Star Motor Cruisers headed over to this week’s Genoa Boat Show in northern Italy, along with a number of prospective owners. The idea was to check out the latest launches from the big Italian boat builder.
Offering a new take on the traditional trawler, the Magellano 43 Hardtop made its debut after the Flybridge variant made a splash at Cannes some weeks earlier.
Genoa was offering in-water test drives of the 43 in flybridge guise and showroom tours of new hardtop that, pictured here with slate-grey hull, looks pretty cool in our eyes.
Costing around $750,000 landed for a loaded boat, the Magellano 43 is said to feature a high-volume, semi-displacement hull for long-range cruising in (Italian) style.
Preceded by the innovative 74, and the commercial success of the 50, the 43 is the newest addition to the Magellano Collection. Azimut also debuted a new 54 flybridge cruiser at Genoa.
