Azimut 64 Flybridge arrives

Italian-made quality and style in the rebounding owner/driver motoryacht market

The first Azimut 64 Flybridge has arrived in Australia. Berthed at d'Albora marinas in Rushcutters Bay, Sydney, the stunning Azimut 64 measures more than 20-metres overall and is powered by twin 1150hp CAT C18 diesel engines with shaft drives for an expected 34-knot top speed.

The 64 follows hot on the keels of the best-selling Azimut
62 that has accounted for nine boats sold in Australia in
the past six years and a total of 300 units worldwide.

Accommodation on the new 64 spans three cabins and three bathrooms, with the owners enjoying a full beam stateroom, large aft en suite and wardrobe. There is also an aft crew cabin with WC.

BUILT FOR THE OCEAN
Stylistic
innovation and excellent manoeuvrability are characteristics of 64, along with large salon windows and an oversize flybridge
terrace.

But the Italian-yard also trades off its superyacht experience, with
world-class construction pedigree and engineering systems included with its production boats.

The hull and structures of the 64 have
been built with "a unique technology between traditional and innovative
composite materials and carbon fibre for strength and reduced weight." The Azimut
64 is also certified by NMMA (CE Class A).

INTERIOR STYLING
The 64's saloon is said to be extremely spacious and bathed in natural sunlight thanks to the enormous vista windows. Great attention to detail and a focus on quality is expressed throughout the interior, with the fine Italian craftsmanship, furnishings and accessories.

The galley on the Azimut 64 is a real feature with more food-prep space than many modern homes. The stunning marble benchtops and fold-down benches are perfect for pasta making, while a full suite of Italian appliances caters for all other needs.

Along with an abundant of storage space and immense fully-equipped galley, the 64 has three large cabins each with their own luxurious private ensuite. You can sleep up to 10 if you take the crew cabin cum teenager’s retreat into consideration.

5 STAR IMPORTERS
After seven years as the Australian
distributor for Azimut
Benetti Group, 5 Star Motor Cruisers (5SMC) says it is now seeing
encouraging pent-up demand for the luxury Italian yacht brand Down
Under.

Four new Azimuts collectively worth more than $7 million
are heading for the annual Sydney International Boat Show opening July
30. They include this new 64 from the Flybridge Collection, 43 and 50
Atlantis sport yachts, and a modern 43 Magellano 'trawler' with
dual-speed hull.

"We are experiencing dramatic
growth across Australia with Azimuts being delivered into Queensland,
Victoria, Western Australia and of course NSW," said Mr Peter Redford Managing Director of 5SMC.

"We have made impressive
and sustainable progress and we are delighted to have broken the
Australian sales record with our sales in the first quarter of the year.
There is a great feeling across the 5SMC team and the entire global
Azimut family," Mr Redford adds.
