A new breed of watersports has blasted its way Down Under, with the ingenious Awake range of Scandinavian-designed and European-built jetboards and eFoils now on sale.
Distributed exclusively in Australia by Carbon Yachts, the Awake range comprises electric jetboards and electric eFoils, with the former essentially a self-propelled electric surfboard and the latter elevating the rider just above the water’s surface.
Carbon Yachts says the watercraft offer “a thrilling, accessible, and low-maintenance alternative to traditional personal watercraft”, but without any requirement for fuel, waves or bulky storage.
The devices are powered by Awake’s Flex Battery System, which can be interchanged between jetboard and eFoil models across the range in seconds. With no fuel, no oil and no ongoing engine maintenance, it makes for a hassle-free ownership experience that delivers all the thrills with none of the headaches.
Carbon Yachts says the initial shipment of Awake boards has already sold out, but further shipments are in the pipeline and selling fast.
The Awake lineup spans a number of models, with offerings for beginners and experienced riders alike. The RAVIK Explore is the entry point to the Awake jetboard range for those getting into the sport for the first time, while the RAVIK 3 is for beginners and casual riders and the RAVIK S offers sharper handling for more seasoned pilots.
The Brabus Shadow Edition, meanwhile, brings the automotive tuning house’s innate style and exhilarating performance to Awake’s electric jetboard concept, in an ultra-desirable limited-edition model that looks as good as it goes.
And for those who prefer to sail over the water, there’s Awake’s Vinga eFoil range, which kicks off with the Vinga 3 for beginners and then shifts up to the Vinga S for a more dynamic, responsive experience.
You can see the Awake range for yourself at the upcoming Everything Electric show in Sydney and at the Carbon Yachts stand at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
