Auto Trim With Maritune
Since introducing Maritune at the Salone Nautico in Genoa during September, 2006, taking a yacht out on a trip has become a lot more dynamic and much less complicated for the skipper, says the manufacturer MTU FriedrichshafenThis propulsion package, with electronic control for surface propeller propulsion systems, automatically adjusts the propeller to the optimum depth. As a result, the skipper can concentrate on steering and accelerating his vessel, and no longer needs to trim manually.

As a systems provider, MTU Friedrichshafen supplies complete propulsion plants including all the hardware from the propulsion control lever to the propeller, as well as the software for controlling the propulsion components. With Maritune, MTU says it has extended ship automation by an entire new dimension. The system is compatible with all propulsion plants equipped with MTU Series 2000 or Series 4000 diesel engines.
