
Richard Morris, Managing Director of Australian Superyachts Pty Ltd, will be delivering a seminar each night of the Sydney International Boat Show at 6:30pm in the Deckhouse Theatrette, Hall 6, Sydney Exhibition Centre.
The 20-minute presentation covers all aspects of owning a superyacht that is also used for chartering in order to offset the running costs.
Richard will cover a range of subjects including acquisition costs, import duties and GST, Australian Commercial Vessel Code requirements, survey categories (1E, 1D, 2C, etc), crew qualifications, class, MCA Compliance, Large Yacht Code (LY2), taxation, charter marketing, the charter market in Australia and the savings gained from owning and operating a commercial yacht.
A question and answer session will follow the seminar.
This seminar will appeal to vessel buyers who are looking to purchase a high-quality yacht from approximately 63 feet/19 metres and above, and want to own it and operate it for commercial gain in addition to personal recreational use.
