Australian Search and Rescue Award 2018

The Australian Marine Safety Authority calls for nominations for the Australian Search and Rescue Award 2018

The prestigious Australian Search and Rescue Award (SAR) isn't one of those token trophies handed out willy-nilly at the local watering hole.

The prestigious award is in recognition of an "outstanding contribution to search and rescue" within the challenging Australian region.

The successful nominee will have made a significant contribution to Australia's search and rescue ability or to the saving of a human life.

The award is open to any individual or organisation and may relate to a particular event or a sustained contribution to search and rescue over a period of time.

Any person or organisation can nominate candidates for the SAR Award, and nominations should be completed using the official nomination form.

Award nominations relate to the financial year. The incident for the Australian Search and Rescue Award 2018 needs to have occurred during the period July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018.

The Australian Marine Safety Authority is now calling for nominations for the Australian Search and Rescue Award 2018.

Go to the National Search and Rescue Council website to download the form.
