Australian cat dealer wins French crown
Outremer Yachts from France names lcoal Multihull Central as their Dealers of the YearOutremer Yachts has crowned its Australian distributors, Multihull Central, with the prestigious title of 2014 Dealer of the Year. The award was announced at the recent Dusseldorf Boat Show.
Several new Outremers have sold here following the French brand making a big splash onto the local market at the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney boat shows last year.
Multihull Central’s Victorian Sales representative, Terry Jones, was on hand at Dusseldorf to receive the award.
With a 30 year heritage of building high performance bluewater production catamarans in the South of France, Outremer has had a cult following in the Northern Hemisphere. With the help of Multihull Central, Australia is now discovering this exciting brand.
Back in 2010, the then new generation Outremer 49 which won 'European Boat of the Year'. This success was followed with the launch of the 59ft Outremer 5X which won that title in 2013. In 2014, the all new Outremer 45 was unveiled and strong orders ensued.
"The range of Outremer catamarans is world class are setting the bar for performance in production catamarans," Brent Vaughan, Director of Multihull Central, said. "We are delighted to be selling these exciting boats and working with such professional people at Outremer."
Multihull Central has grown in the past couple of years, having merged with long established Multihull Yacht Sales Australia based in Manly, QLD.
The business has Australia’s only multihull marina in Sydney plus agents in Airlie Beach, Melbourne and Perth. Multihull Central specialises in selling and buying catamarans and trimarans, with the largest range of pre-owned multihulls for sale in Australia.
