A NSW-based boat importer has been named Jeanneau’s best-performing global sales hub after hosting the largest owners’ event in the world for the brand.
Pittwater-based Performance Boating Sales was awarded the top sales gong – the third time it has received the accolade – in recognition of its sales performance, its running of the Australian launch of the new Sun Odyssey 440 and 490 sail boats, and its uniquely Aussie spin on the global Jeanneau owners’ rendezvous, which attracted 40 yachts to Sydney in May for the event.
A similar event in Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera attracted 13 boats.
Jeanneau Asia-Pacific managing director Paul Blanc said Performance Boating Sales’ 2018 NSW Jeanneau owners’ rendezvous had "set a benchmark for all our dealers around the globe".
Performance Boating Sales has represented Jeanneau’s sailing range since 2002, establishing it as one of the premiere yacht brands in NSW.
“Receiving this sort of recognition of the hard work of my team here at PBS is a great acknowledgement of our passion to make the ownership of a Jeanneau yacht the best experience for our clients,” Performance Boating Sales director Lee Condell said.
The sail-powered Jeanneau line-up in Australia will soon expand with the introduction of the Sun Odyssey 440 and 490. The Sun Odyssey 410, meanwhile, is slated for a world debut at the 2019 Sydney International Boat Show.
The first delivery of the Sun Odyssey 319, the baby of the Jeanneau new-generation yachts, arrived in Australia last week.
