The 2024 Melbourne Boat Show will be a huge one for the Whittley Marine Group, which will unveil its limited-edition SL 20 R model powered by the new Mercury Racing 150 R engine – the latest chapter in the ongoing partnership between the Whittley Marine Group and Mercury Marine.
The 3.4-litre V6 R 150 produces 150hp, and is claimed to be the largest displacement and lightest engine in its class. It also boasts a sports exhaust system, Mercury Racing decal kit and an exclusive Mercury livery.
The R 150 is paired with the SL 20 R, which will be limited to just five production builds and has an Italian vinyl interior, premium trailer paint, black powder-coated rails, a signed plaque by Brock Cohen of Cohen Brothers Racing and Alan Whittley from Whittley Boats, and boasts Coast Tourer Edition options.
“We are thrilled to be the first to offer the new Mercury Racing 150 R engine on a boat package in Australia,” said Brock Cohen, National Dealership General Manager at Whittley Marine Group.
“After extensive testing, the R&D team at the Whittley Factory matched the performance-based engine perfectly to the SL 20 offshore performance hull. This boat package has the wow factor and is a fun and sports-oriented package to drive when offshore or for water sports."
Accompanying the SL 20 R model at the Melbourne Boat Show will be a wide range of Whittley models, all at stand number 25 in the Docklands precinct.
The 2024 Melbourne Boat Show will be held from October 17 to 20.
