A new trailer brand has hit the Aussie market promising the latest in technology and the rust-free performance of aluminium.
Newly established and offering a range of single and dual-axle trailers to suit boats up to 8.5m, Dandenong (Vic) based Transtyle Trailers uses marine grade aluminium in the construction of its trailers exclusively.
Featuring torsion bar suspension (no leaf springs) and hydraulic disc brakes on all models, the Transtyle trailers feature aluminium I-beams as their main chassis components and offer a choice of both skid (bunk) and roller versions. Lighting is all LED and completely waterproof, claims the company.
The I-beam design prevents water pooling in structural members after a trailer is submerged, says Transtyle. Construction is a full bolt-up design, rather than welded, and features high-grade stainless steel fasteners.
On roller versions some galvanised components are used, but Transtyle says appropriate anti-corrosion and electrolysis measures are utilised.
Transtyle's new trailer range addresses ATMs (aggregate trailer mass) of between 2000 and 4500kg with maximum loads of between 1550-3750kg. Even on the full 4500kg capable model, trailer mass is claimed to be just 750kg.
Alloy wheels are used exclusively and options include spare wheel and tyre carriers and a choice of mudguards.
