Another cruiser destroyed

Is this another suspicious boat fire in Sydney?

A 40-foot cruiser has been destroyed by fire at a marina in Double Bay this morning (Feb 3).

Just before 6.30am, emergency services were called to Castra Place, Double Bay following reports of a boat fire.

The blaze was extinguished by NSW Fire and Rescue and a crime scene was established. Fortunately, the firies were able to stop the flames spreading to other boats in the marina although a spokesman said two boats were slightly damaged by radiant heat.

No one was injured in the fire.

Police from Rose Bay Local Area Command and the Marine Area Command are on scene and investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page:https://www.police.nsw.gov.au/. Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
