With a 30-year history, Ocean Alexander says it has concentrated its marketing efforts in the United States and Canada, but a recent expansion in the company's Taiwan factory resulted in the company's boats heading to Australia.
The boats are being imported by Ocean Alexander Motoryachts Australia, based in the bayside suburb of Raby Bay, Queensland.
"We are very proud to be bringing these spectacular boats to Australia," Ocean Alexander Motoryachts Australia director Darren Berry said.
"We are confident that our competitive pricing and long list of standard inclusions on every model will ensure the Ocean Alexander product stands out from the crowd."
The Altus 45 is part of Ocean Alexander's Sport Sedan range, which also includes the Altus 52.
The company says the Altus 45 hull features innovative prop tunnels that provide greater lift and increase speed and maneuverability, while reducing fuel consumption. Standard power for the Altus 45 comes from twin Yanmar 370hp diesel shaftdrives, which provide a 21kt cruise.
However, the optional 440hp Yanmar provides a 23kt cruise and 28kt top speed. Powerplants including Cummins and Caterpillar are also available.
