This month, Dehler announced an all-new addition to its fleet of quality cruiser/racers, the Dehler 38.
The Dehler 38 fills the gap between the D 35 and the D 41.
Dehler says that the new model is a combination of the traditional Dehler values, combined with a contemporary design, representing the next generation of Dehler sailing yachts.
The Dehler 38 has a modern exterior and a sophisticated but modern interior. The interior offers layouts with either two or three cabins, a single large head with separate shower unit and plenty of space in the saloon.
The standard (two cabin) Dehler 38 is designed to be a fast cruising yacht for short-handed crews or families.
An extensive option list will offer the possibility of specifying the yacht as either fast cruiser or a sporty performer for ambitious racing crews.
The new Dehler 38 offers the possibility of upgrading to a more comfortable or a more competitive performance level -- or both. Option for such items as a carbon rig, deep lead keel and performance rudder will be offered.
According to Dehler, the yacht is well balanced with emphasis on stability and light weight according to IRC and ORC rating systems, which are the most popular rating systems worldwide.
The laminate is a vinylester with balsa core sandwich construction using unidirectional fabrics.
The spacious cockpit has an optional large bathing platform. The cockpit also offers multiple lockers for storage.
The first of the new 38s is due to launch in early 2013 with yachts to arrive here soon after.
