All-new Axopar 38 Cross Top revealed at Cannes

Axopar has added a third model to its latest-gen 38 range, with the all-new Cross Top offering great versatility for a wide range of conditions

Axopar has revealed the latest addition to its range, with the all-new 38 Cross Top making its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Acting as a hybrid between the 38 XC Cross Cabin and 38 Sun Top, the new 38 Cross Top gives Axopar customers another option to choose from.

While all three Axopar 38 models share the same hull, deck plan, engine options and modular interior, they each offer different levels of protection from the elements. The 38 XC Cross Cabin has a fully enclosed cabin, while the 38 Sun Top features an open cabin.

The new 38 Cross Top splits the difference, with the helm and forward section sheltered by a wraparound windscreen, while the cockpit and aft deck remain open. This provides greater protection from the elements while retaining the social, open-deck layout of the Sun Top.

Axopar also offers optional roll-down canopies for the 38 Cross Top, allowing owners to fully enclose the cabin when conditions change.

All three 38 models sit on a twin-stepped 20-degree V hull and are powered by twin Mercury Verado outboards, with options including V8 300hp and V10 350hp engines. The standard 830-litre fuel tank helps the boat exceed 45 knots and achieve a claimed fuel range of approximately 250 nautical miles.

The 38 models are highly configurable, with the bow, cockpit, front cabin and aft deck all designed around Axopar’s modular layout, allowing customers to create their own vessel.

Features including individual helm seats, convertible U-shaped sofas, electric hi-lo tables, a pantry module, enclosed toilet and shower, and foldable activity platforms are all available. The front cabin can comfortably sleep two, with the option to add two further berths.

Australian availability and pricing are yet to be announced but, as a reference point, the Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin starts from approximately $592,800 sail-away.

Axopar is distributed in Australia by Sydney-based Eyachts.
