The 2013 Adelaide Boat Show opened today (June 20) at 10am at Adelaide Showground, Wayville, SA. The biggest boat show in SA, run by the local branch of the Boating Industry Association (BIASA), will be open every day from 10am 'till closing time at 6pm Sunday June 23. Friday and Saturday night opening hours have been extended to 8pm.
The flagship event promises to be a spectacular showcase of boats, large and small, products and accessories, services and expert advice, seminars and workshops, holiday destinations and entertainment.
Needless to say, SA has its own clique of accomplished boatbuilders who will be showing off their latest largely fishing-orientated designed especially for tackling local Gulf waters. From small to large boats, ski craft, kayaks, wakeboards, fishing and accessories, there will be something for everyone.
Of course, family entertainment features strongly over the four days and includes, but is not limited to, the Yamaha Supertank, a bunch of interactive display, a fishing Stage hosted by top local rod Greg James, boat licencing on site, seafood cooking demos, wine tasting and master classes, an environment trail, and free kids activities.
There are some huge tackle clearances, competitions and give-aways, with the chance to win an Unforgettable Houseboat Holiday for one week for a family and friends including two Explorer canoes. Further details at http://www.adelaideboatshow.com.au/.
